International Perspective On Developing Method To Uncover Psychological Phenomena Of Learning Mathematics

Mathematics has been studied for thousands of years. Much of our understanding in Mathematics comes from ancient times. Because of its profound importance, Mathematics is a topic studied from early or pre-school ages right through school. It can be studied at as a degree at university and also forms part of engineering and computer science and general science curricula at university. Mathematics is also a widespread subject of research. Mathematics as the King of other subjects,like Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Economy, etc.
The word psychology came from greek which is combined of words psyche and logos. Psyche mean soul, life, psyche, or psychiatric. And the word logos mean science, knowledge, or Study. Generally, Psychology is Study of psyche. But psyche is a abstract thing, so very difficult to study about it. Because of that only focus about its symptoms. So, Psychology is the Study of psychiatrics Symptoms. Dimyati mahmud (1998).
In Mathematics teaching-learning proses, psychology is an important things. By psychology, teachers can know about psychiatrics symptoms of student learning mathematics. The problem of learning mathematics can be identify and then can give the solution about it.
In basic principle of psycology, teachers have to concern about the form, the method and the subtance of the scheme of psychological aspect. The form of the scheme are individual, group, organitation, national, and international. Then the Method can to study, to research, to investigate, to survey, and then to evaluate after that give the psychological tests.
The aim of Psychology of Mathematics Learning is to identify, to make description, to explain and then to make theraphy or to give a solution about the problems of students learning mathematics. After teacher lean about it. Student can chose the best method for teaching, so a condusif teaching-learning prosses will happent.
Basically, mathematics is a language. So, mathematics is one tool to communicate. Mathematics learning process can be said succeed or not, it depends on how the way we communicate. If we teach it well, then the output will be good also. Conversely, if we teach it unwell, then we will make a bad output and a new problem for students.
The students have different motivation to learn mathematics. Students also have different capability for reciving new knowledge. So, teacher has to know the nature of students learn mathematics. There are two paradigm that are inovative and traditioanal. In traditional teaching-learning process, teacher only give the new teorm without give the chance for students to improve themself. But Inovative learning is a new paradigm of mathematics education, in inovatine learning, teacher only a facilitator that help student built them own mathematics word. Student can find them knowledge by themself.
